  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by robert brauer: Everything went great till after installation. They seemed to start dragging their feet. Salesman was no help. It took two weeks for them to schedule inspections. Then I had to call PECO to find out that paperwork was wrong. Another two weeks. Now I’m waiting on rebate check. Was to be paid 30 days after installation. It’s been almost two months. Still salesman is no help. System is running well so far. Not happy.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Sandip Turakhia: We just installed solar panels from Lumina Solar and that is one the best decisions we have made. Especially working with Courtney Sollenberger is the best. Courtney knows everything from beginning to end about this solar installation. She is one of the best if not the best in this business. Thanks Lumina Solar and Special Thanks to Courtney Sollenberger.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Rodney Martin: Lumina solar is an amazing company to deal with. There are very knowledgeable, and great communication through the entire process. My township had an old ordinance that prevented the size of system that I needed. Lumina worked and kept me informed as to what we needed to do to get the permits. Everyone from the start to the finish was nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this company.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Loretta Killian: Lumina Solar is a great choice and amazing company. We had checked out several solar companies over the years but many were fly-by-night, here today, gone tomorrow companies. I read good things about Lumina and called them. My husband was rather skeptical at first but was sick of our now $250--300 electric bills. Our Lumina rep Chris Richardson explained everything in layman's terms with graphs and 3D satellite pix of our property. The financial aspects were all laid out upfront so no surprises. All permits and legwork were done by Lumina. All workers were well groomed, polite and professional. We've had questions from time to time and our rep is always available. We think going with Lumina Solar is one of our best decisions ever!!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by MAMAS Midwives: Worked with Ryan Cook from Lumina and it could not have been easier. He arranged for all the inspection and permits and paperwork and installation, and his team is super responsive and helpful. The inspector even noticed a dangerous hanging wire about to fall off of our house after a previous storm, and saved us from possible electrocution by contacting Pepco to fix it before moving forward. Once it was installed, and all the permits were in, we got permission from Pepco to turn it on, and we just had to flip a switch and voilà! Solar power! Wish we had done it years ago. Bonus: we gave our code to our son and he got solar power in his house and Lumina gave him a discount and sent us a referral fee!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Sue Page: Lumina Solar recently installed a solar panel system and provided the best experience possible. The entire process was incredible - from initial consultation and design, to permitting, installation, inspection, and activation. The process began with Kurt, Project Manager, who did a great initial consultation and design. He answered all of my questions and communicated continuously throughout the project. All of the other contacts at each step were also fantastic: scheduling (Caitlin), survey (Ty), electrical (Ryan and Jeff), install (Anthony and Deandre), and inspection (Brooke). Also, electrician Chris was present at the final inspection. I highly recommend Lumina Solar for their outstanding customer service, communication, attention to detail, and quality. Thank you.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Octavio R: I recently had my solar panels set up with this company and the process of getting everything approved and set up was incredibly fast and easy. Jevon Ciciliot was my sales person and he did a great job explaining how everything works. This was a great experience for me from the sales pitch all the way through the installation process.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Ron Filipowicz: I had a very positive, 5 star experience with Lumina and specifically with the sales process led by Pete Hayes. He was very professional, transparent and thoughtful. He followed through with everything he said he would do and maintained contact with me through the whole process. He was quick to answer questions and inform me of the steps/what to expect. I’m very pleased with going solar. Lumina and Pete Hayes receive my highest recommendation.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Chris Stoltzfus: When I was looking to go solar I had done a few quotes and designs with different companies. Lumina came in with not only the best pricing for the work, but the best design plan for the area as well. Jack knew his stuff and had a base design already done that showed estimates based on previous sun data and satellite pictures. We were able to determine taking out some trees could improve performance and which ones could stay. We had to do some back and forth with the electric company to get started which was the biggest hassle. There was a lack of communication from electric on getting us approvals and information if the system we planned was allowed. After 5 months they told us it wasn't and that we would need to pay to have a upgraded transformer installed. They then took another month to tell us a price before we said no and we down sized to what was allowed based on the current grid. By far this was the biggest headache but was in no part Lumina Solar's fault. Once we knew what we were allowed we went back and designed a system that would work. Permits and paperwork went pretty quickly after we got electric company to sign off. Due to the weather there was a little delay in getting install started but the team that came out did fantastic work. The hardest challenge for the installers was dealing with my old house's thick walls, (18inches plus a little empty space before another wall) but after determining what was needed they came back and managed to get the hole drilled. They were able to answer any questions I had along the way for the project and provided insight into other questions I had as well. On the roof install side of things, things went smoothly. A couple of the snow guards got broken but they ordered in new ones and replaced them without a hassle. The full Lumina team worked very well together and were always professional. I have recommended them to others and would do so again. Can't wait to see just how well the system works.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania by Richard Zinn: We were blown away with the customer service we received with Lumina Solar. Matt D. from the company helped us through the entire process, answered any questions we may have had, and provided us with peace of mind when dealing with a complex investment. The installation team were clean, considerate, kind, and quick for the installation of the panels. All of the communication with Lumina was easy and we received quick responses.
  • Sun path variations throughout the year
  • Microclimates brought on by neighboring buildings and foliage
  • Ideal panel tilt and orientation to optimize energy capture
  • Integration with existing electrical systems

Anecdotally, a property owner in Bucks County when believed a shaded backyard was unsuitable for solar. Lumina's group showed how strategic placement on an eastern roofing system section could still catch sufficient sunshine, turning uncertainty into excitement.

Specialist Tips for Solar Design Success

  1. Conduct an extensive site evaluation at various times of the day to recognize shading issues.
  2. Use advanced simulation software to forecast energy output over seasons, not just sunny days.
  3. Consider future tree development or nearby building and construction that could modify sunlight direct exposure.
  4. Style for simple expansion, enabling for additional panels as energy requires grow.
